Bio:
Beloved for their candid lyrics, impeccable punctuality and mediocre grooming, Wires in the Walls is a favorite among Los Angeles’ indie rock/pop/alt-country bands. In a world where single genre bands dominate the mundane musical landscape, you could spend an Alabama summer trying to fully articulate the eclectic sound of these four native East-Coasters. With a focus on story telling, catchy melodies and rocking beats, Wires in the Walls continually creates an instant connection with listeners of all ages, backgrounds and shoe sizes.
The band formed when singer-songwriter Warren Sroka and his longtime collaborator, bassist Nick Tracz, connected with drummer Bryan King in the summer of 2008. Having just arrived in L.A. from Virginia, Bryan was excited to find two musicians who shared his love of alt-country music and whiskey. It didn't take much convincing from Bryan to get childhood friend and fellow Virginian Thomas Orgren to relocate to the West Coast, filling out the group's sound on guitar and keys. Their line-up complete, Wires in the Walls' rugged determination and do-it-yourself work ethic led them to record their own songs, book their own tours, make their own t-shirts and even build their own practice studio. If you think these boys are handy with a guitar, you should see them with a belt sander.
In just under a year, they’ve managed to record two EPs, tour the East Coast, and play at several of LA’s top-notch venues including The Mint, Silverlake Lounge, Hard Rock Cafe and The Hotel Café. Wires in the Walls will be taking on their biggest challenge this Spring by recording their first full-length album.
